Sewing Circle
I'm sure you already know how relaxing stitching can be. With the state of the economy, we all need a little extra relaxation. Here's a neat article about a man in Elgin, Illinois, now age 82, who finds
stress relief through cross stitch.
About 40 years ago his doctor told him to slow down and use his fingers to prevent having a stroke. It's worked so far!

To the Point
Counted cross stitch
is an easy and fun embroidery method. It's a very popular form since it's how most people are first introduced to embroidery. Have you
involved the children
in your life in stitching yet? Learning to read the chart will help them with charts and graphs in math class, playing with design and color will help their artistic development, and completing a project will boost their self esteem. Completing a challenging project at any age can make you feel better about yourself! And you can pass it on by giving your handmade creation as a gift. The holidays will be here sooner than we realize.
Words of Wisdom
Regarding the presidential election: "The best man for the job is usually the one who doesn't want it."
Find of the Month
Knock, knock. "Who's there?" Boo. "Boo who?" Don't cry -- I have a new free embroidery pattern! This one will have you saying, "who, who" because it's a
cross stitch owl pattern
from the Crossed Wing Collection. I think this design is stunning with the spread wings.
