Brother 270d Loud Noise

I have this little machine - the Brother 270d. I have embroidered thousands of hours on it. I have owned many different machines including some high end Husqvarnas and this one is OK for the price. But, now it has stopped sewing and makes a very loud noise when I turn it on. It says, "The safety device has been activated." Does anybody know how to fix this?

I don't know. I have an old Singer. I suggest you contact the Brother Support Center and see if they can help you. You might need to take it into an authorized dealer for repair service.
