Gingham Cross Stitch

Where can I find patterns for cross stitch on gingham? I had gingham cross stitch patterns for designs on aprons from the 50's and 60's, but I lost them when I moved. My grandmother and I used to make aprons on gingham, but can't find patterns any more.

Are you talking about chicken sratch? I had a link to a pattern for hearts in one of my past newsletters. It was cross stitch on gingham but they called it chicken scratch. The x's were made within the checkered squares on the gingham. I don't know of any other patterns. Can anyone else help? Please share your comments!

I, too, am looking for gingham cross stitch for skirts. I found a book in the library (not my branch) which had many patterns. I can't remember the name, but it was very nice. You might try your local library.
