Monogramming

I am newer to machine embroidery, using a Brother PE 770. It comes with six fonts, but I am interested in monogramming and have trouble measuring and setting the letters so that it looks like a real monogram. I am trying to use the alphabets the machine comes with to practice before buying a monogramming pack. Can this be done... using the alphabet and just sizing the letters myself?

Thanks -

Yes, the letters the machine comes with are designed to be used for monnogramming! If you're having trouble determining the size, use some spare thread and fabric run samples. Make notes of what you learn, so next time you'll know which screen size produces which actual size.
