The hand embroidery patterns that use needlepoint embroidery have a big range in size and difficulty level. Tapestry kits come with everything you need to get started immediately. They are best for beginners. More advanced stitchers may want to try painting your own canvas for a personalized design.
Isn't this kit pretty? I love the use of colors to show light and shadow.
Whichever you do, please share a photo of your best work and tell us all about it! How did you choose the pattern? Where did you get it or how did you make it? What size canvas and type of thread did you use? Which needlepoint stitches were in the pattern?
I am also very curious as to how long it takes to stitch the larger pieces since I've only done smaller items. It seems faster than other types of embroidery when I do it, but maybe working with a larger canvas is awkward and slows things down? I hope you will share your experiences here so we can be inspired and learn from each other!
Why do you love that pattern? Share your story, tips, and a photo of the needlepoint embroidery that you made or plan to make!
