Remove Extra Thread or Dust & Cutting Machine Threads

by Naresh
(India)

We would like to know what are techniques to cut the front and back thread of embroidery done by a Multi Head Machine.

Also, we would like suggestions for how to remove cut threads that again stick on fabrics. Do you use a vacuum or blower or any other machine?

Amy's Answer
As far as I know, you trim the machine threads close to the fabric. You can use a drop of seam sealant such as
Dritz Seam Sealant-.5 Ounce
if you are concerned about the threads becoming unraveled. A lint roller such as those used to remove dog hair from clothing is useful in the sewing room. I don't do a lot of machine sewing, so my regular vacuum catches anything on the floor. Does anyone else use a special Dustbuster hand vacuum or some other technique?
